Robot Interaction Hackathon
On October 2, we held a Hackathon as part of the Robot Interaction course for second-year AI bachelor students at VU Amsterdam.
In just 6 hours, 100 students in teams of 5 developed their own social robot interaction using one of the 20 available robots (Nao, Alpha Mini, Furhat, Buddy, iPal, QTrobot, or Navel). Building on the Human-Centered Design steps taken in the previous assignments for the course, they programmed, tested and demoed their interactions and got hands-on robot interaction experience.
