Presenting at ICA 2026 (and Exploring South Africa)
In June 2026, I traveled to Cape Town, South Africa, to attend the International Communication Association (ICA) Conference, one of the leading international conferences in the field of communication science. During the conference, I presented the preliminary results of our work, Methodologies and Measures to Evaluate Human-Robot Relationships: Preliminary Results of a Scoping Review. This study aims to explore how researchers currently measure and evaluate relationships between humans and social robots, and highlighted opportunities for greater methodological consistency in the field.
Following the conference, I also took the opportunity to spend two weeks traveling through South Africa and eSwatini (& I took more than 2000 photos).
